Black-tie optional

Please no black dresses or gowns, and no white. White is for the bride. Non-bride individuals wearing white will be converted to non-attendants.

  • Stone floors and lots of stairs, including from the parking lot down to the entrance. Choose shoes accordingly.
  • The ceremony, cocktails and dinner are all indoors.
  • The groom will for sure be wearing a suit. Potentially a cape.

Questions
Which shuttle stop should I use?
There are 2 pickups, so use whichever is closer: Ocean House Hotel at 4:15 PM or Beauport Hotel at 4:45 PM. It's the same bus, and it gets to the castle around 5:00, before the 5:10 ceremony. See the stops
What if I miss the shuttle?
Drive or take a rideshare to Hammond Castle, 80 Hesperus Ave. Parking is free on site. Aim to arrive by 5:00 so you're seated for the 5:10 ceremony. Directions
How do I get home at the end of the night?
The evening ends at 9:00 PM, when the return shuttle leaves the castle. It drops off at Beauport Hotel (where post-wedding drinks are) around 9:15, then at Ocean House Hotel around 9:30. If you're staying somewhere else, take a taxi or rideshare from either stop, and book ahead if you can.
What's happening Saturday?
Brunch at 10:00 AM at the Beauport Hotel, 55 Commercial St. After that there are no set plans. We'll probably be around the Beauport and may go to a local bowling alley, and anyone is welcome to come along. Directions
Are kids welcome?
Kids are welcome at Saturday brunch! Friday's ceremony and cocktail hour are adults-only.
Where are Nate & Rebecca staying?
Ocean House Hotel at Bass Rocks, 107 Atlantic Rd. It's also the first shuttle pickup.
Which airport is closest?
Boston Logan (BOS), about 27 miles away. It's 45 to 50 minutes by car, longer in traffic. The MBTA Rockport commuter rail line also stops in Gloucester.
